Within the charismatic renewal, scripture holds a place of central importance for preaching, teaching, and evangelizing. In order to examine the theological and pastoral issues regarding the use of scripture in the renewal, a symposium was held in Milwaukee, December 1-3, 1978, and was attended by theologians, exegetes, pastoral leaders, and diocesan liaisons to the charismatic renewal. Scripture and the Charismatic Renewal contains the proceedings from that symposium.
