Drawn to the Lord is the text of a series of talks given by Cardinal Martini in Milan Cathedral as part of his ‘School of prayer.’ This was aimed at opening up an experience of living Christian prayer to everyone who is in search of deeper meaning in life and to help young people who wanted to come together for reflection, prayer and meditation. The basis of each talk is the story of a vocation, followed by an appropriate scripture text and a homily. They challenge us to have the courage to hold on to the full message of Christ; to have more hope that our world, under the impulse of the Spirit of God, is really heading towards salvation; and to be more generous in helping the Church to find the face of Christ who dwells within humanity.
