The volume Tassels of Thought was written upon the encouragement of many people who have enjoyed the previous anthologies. The author confesses that the ideas for the anecdotes (themes, plots, sets of lovable or hateful characters, and spiritual insights)would come to him not during times of formal meditation but during the oddest moments-while doing the dishes, sweeping the corridors, even washing clothes. Thus, he considers himself a mere instrument, a pen, in the hands of Someone who writes these stories on Christian life and holiness.
