Current problems such as ecology, technology, and futurology again raise fundamental questions concerning our place in the world and of human responsibility for the world’s history and point to the need for a more adequate synthesis of the insights won piece-meal over the years prior to the Vatican Council. This book discusses the problems raised for the Christian doctrine of creation from the world of philosophy and the positive sciences.
