One of the most notable things about his writing is its breadth of scope, as well as its depth. But in every case we are given the essential Christian message of loving God in man. Like all good theologians Rahner never loses himself in abstractions for their own sake. If his thought is complex, it is because the reality about which he writes is equalization.
