Cardinal, Seraphic Doctor and Saint appears to us as the most modern of the great philosophers of the thirteenth century. He is also one of the less ', well-known, because the historical development of the Church tended' to follow Aristotelian intellectualism. In our day, however, there is a very distinct return to the dynamic and existential views of which Bonaventure is an eloquent precursor. His modern relevance is being stressed in both college and post-graduate courses.
