What does it mean to be authentically human? This is one of the burning questions of our time, and no clear answers have yet been given. In this volume a wide spectrum of Asian Christian thinkers address themselves to this question in relation to Asians’ sense of the sacred, their experience of nature, and their responsibility for society and history. Others have talked in the recent past about “the humanity of God”. Here the focus is upon the “holiness” of the human.
