That Carmel May Bloom: A Letter Of The Prior General Joseph Chalmers To The Carmelite Family

She came to Rome on 77 May 7925 for the canonization of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the next day she visited Santa Marinella on the Lazio coast to the north of Rome. There she found the place where she would finally realize God's plans. She moved to Santa Marinelia on 3 July 7925 with some companions and on 16 July this little group received the seal of approval from the Order through official affiliation. After the end of the war, in December 1947, Mother Curcio realized her dream of a mission in far off lands and sent her first daughters to Brazil.
Mother Crocifissa was taken to the Lord on 4 July 7957, leaving in the hearts of all a lively reminder of her holiness. On 12 February 1989 the bishop of the diocese of Potuense, Mgr. Diego Bona, began the cause for her beatifications which concluded in Rome on 19 October 2004 in the Congregation for the Causes of the Saints.
