John-Paul II Speaks To Religious III: Principal Allocations And Letter From January 1983 To December 1984

This work-the third of the collection-includes the principal Allocutions presented by Pope John Paul II to religious during the years 1983-1984. The Synopsis by Father Jean Beyer, S.J., at the beginning of the book, facilitates a more systematic study and a more precise consideration of the texts. It shows that the Pope is constantly deepening the doctrine on consecrated life. John Paul II has desired to present the doctrine of Vatican II from the very beginning of his pontificate, and he continues to present it in all its fullness. He thus supports its renewal, its progress and its influence. His teaching makes us discover new or at least complementary aspects, all based on the long tradition of the Church and the experiences of Founders and Foundresses.
Like the two preceding books, this one will be helpful to those who, in various ways, are responsible for the formation of youth, and for the awakening and spiritual accompaniment of vocations; it will help religious to better live their consecration to God as an act of love, which is, as John Paul II tells us, a Trinitarian act.
