The Anatomy Of Judgement: An Investigation Into The Processes Of Perception And Reasoning

'The Anatomy of Judgement’ focuses on the fact that ‘all day and every day we are receiving information through our sense organs.’ (Abercrombie, M. The Anatomy of Judgement. 1960.) It states that much of the information that we receive from our surrounding environment is not immediately useful or important, however it effects our behaviour at different levels all the same. This process of selection allows us to live as ordinary human beings without being consciously aware of every single little piece of information. The same idea can be related to my experiment. When reading a book for example, there is alot of information that we are exposed to. With the majority of our conscious thought directed towards the words written upon its pages, it is the way we behave in relation to the book that interests me the most.
