Inter-religious Dialogue enables people to discover that Faiths are called to make their own unique contribution to the outlook of others and thus to the whole spiritual experience of God who is the beginning and the end of human history. Dialogue seeks to promote a community of mutuality that generates greater understanding and mutual enrichment. It does not demand that we deny our own distinctiveness, but it requires a growth in relationship through the mutual respect of our own uniqueness. Thus inter-faith Dialogue enables individuals and communities to see plurality not as a threat but as a blessing, since it is based on the assumption that it is not only important for me to know the other, but I need the other to know myself truly.
