This collection of 18 stories has been specially written for Malaysian upper primary and lower secondary schools. a simple vocabulary of about 1,300 – 1,500 words has been used, following closely the Word Lists for National Schools in Malaysia, and the sentence structures have been kept easy and uncomplicated.
The stories have been taken from Malaysian traditional sources to fit in with the Malaysian cultural and social background, and it is hoped that they will provide pleasant and interesting reading for Malaysian schoolchildren.
