Looking at spirituality from on interdisciplinary optic would necessarily lead us to the connectedness of spirituality with different sciences. Furthermore, through the various disciplines, spirituality will critique and enrich itself and vice versa and not rather marginalize each other, as theology did in the olden times with regards to other disciplines.
