A group of Australians has gathered together to reflect upon the relevance of St. John of the Cross for today. In a word, they not only found that this 16th-century Spanish Carmelite mystic is very relevant, but that he represents for us a spirituality of substance. This, of course, implies that there are other current spiritualities around which lack depth and substance. The contributors to this book show how the wisdom of St. John of the Cross provides guidance to the many people in our society who are thirsting for nourishment on their spiritual journey through life.
