This well-rounded survey of the entire field of pastoral counseling suggests a revised model beamed directly to the needs and capabilities of the average parish minister. The book incorporates new thrusts and techniques of psychotherapy and counseling, including supportive and directive counseling. Throughout, the author holds first to his concern for the parish minister who is not, and does not intend to become, a specialist in counseling.
