It has given me great pleasure to read this book. Ms. Mullens has taken considerable care to research the subject in depth and from her research provides a balanced point of view. Her information is accurate and she does not shrink from highlighting areas of controversy where such areas exist. For the practising physician, there is no more pleasant situation than the informed couple who wishes to work in collaboration with their doctor to try and resolve the problem of infertility. If this book is used in the way Ms. Mullens suggests to foster open discussion, it can only ease the confusion suffered by so many infertile couples. I intend to recommend it to patients who attend our clinic.
