"The Bible is written to help us decipher the world, restore in us the eyes of faith and contemplation and to transform reality into the great revelation of God himself." He who studies the Bible without considering the reality of the oppressed, both yesterday and today and does not struggle for justice is unfaithful to God's Word. He is like a Pharisee who knew the Bible by heart but did not live it. This is the challenge for Israel and for us: to live out the liberating will of the God of liberation.
