Kant is undeniably one of the greatest philosophers of all time. his contribution to that part of philosophy which is concerned with the moral life has had a very wide influence. What did Kant mean by ‘the moral law’? How did he conceive of it as grounded in the consciences of men? Why did he think that its existence entitles us to believe in God, freedom and immortality?
