Archie was astonished when he arrived in heaven: there people liked each other! He took aside a nice-looking angel and asked him, "Why is it that there's not only Christian love but a tot more?" "What do you mean?" asked the angel. "l mean that here people have a positive liking for other people." "Oh, that!" the angel exclaimed. "Well, that's because here humans are all attuned to God. And it so happens that God tikes people."
As he continues to write in this vein, Fr. Nil Guillemette says he is more and more aware that each of his stories, whatever its limitations, is given to him as pure grace. A lot of prayer has entered in the making of this fifth volume of God-Tales as well as in the making of the previous ones. Still, the author acknowledges that nothing would have come of it but for God's gracious response. As St. Paul writes: "l planted the seed... God made it grow" (1 Cor 3,6).
