One of the fruits of the annual meetings with bishops and secretaries responsible for social communication in the FABC-member bodies, "FABC-OSC Bishops’ Meet," is the regular exchange and update about the communication situation and possibilities in the participating countries. From this we came with a "social Communication Handbook-Asia" in 1998 for FABC members, which was also distributed to the participants of the Synod Asia in Rome that same year.
Here now is a new compilation of basic information on the communication situation in the FABC-member countries together with some useful addresses and contact information. We send all the country reports to the people concerned for correction and additions. As far as they have responded, these corrections were incorporated. For the others, they have to wait for another edition of this book.
