All Christians, in times of crisis, have always searched the Scriptures for a meaningful answer to the problems of the world. We are living in such times and we need to go back to Jesus of Nazareth and his message about the coming of the kingdom of God to sustain our hope and to continue our efforts in creating this world of ours a better place for living.The whole community of the people of God, the Church, need to wake up from the brink of internal complacency and external irrelevancy to boldly place herself right in the midst of this suffering world with the whole power of her prophecy and testimony. To be at the service of the kingdom of God in the footsteps of Jesus is her raison d'etre.
