Philippine Muslin-Christian Dialogue presents the issues that divide and unite Filipino Muslims and Christians. The issues range from religious to historical and emotional differences. The book also presents recommendations on how future interfaith dialogue and cooperation may be carried out. One of the contributors of this monograph, Fr. Michel de Gigord, speaks from experience. The many years of contact with the Filipino Muslims in Mindanao taught him that “good will is not enough" because it "may end up in antagonizing" irreparably one's dialogue partner. Furthermore, he says that cerebral knowledge about dialogue is not enough because learning "must involve also the heart which alone can reach out to people." Hence dialogue requires conversion and understanding others in a deeper level.
