EVANGELIZATION IN ASIA is a compilation of the proceedings of the Asian Congress on Evangelization held November, 1993 at the Philippine International Convention Center
(PICC) in Manila. Not only the conferences and workshop papers, but also the insights of the workshops and the homilies given during the five-days assembly are included in this book.
The Asian Congress intended to offer the local Churches in Asia an opportunity to pray, reflect and share experiences, their life and areas of concern which are contained in the encyclical “Redemptoris Missio". The theme for the Congress was "OPEN THE DOOR TO CHRIST'.
