<note>Here is a book long awaited. Members of the entire Carrneiite Family and women from around the globe and representing the First, Second and Third Orders, both Calced and Discalced - gathered to pray and to share their insights into Carmel's 'Way of Life' - Aibert's Way - in these final yea rs oi the present century. Seven Carmelites, both friars and nuns, revealed their personal insights into the meaning of the Rule of St Albert. The result of personal experience as -well as of lifetimes of dedicated study, their presentations are evidence of the variety of fruit the ancient tree is still bearing. Here are no pat answers. Carmel is alive, vital. There is no single definition of its charism but a fundamental unity that finds a particular expression in each of its branches" its fruit nourishes individuals and is assimilated into the unique gifts of each.
The Rule of St Albert offers all who strive to live as Carmelites much to ponder, to assimilate, to apply to their individual walk with the Spirit. Aibert's Way provides helpful explanations of the Rule that encourage the individual to grow and to flourish in the garden that is Carmel.</note>
